Liverpool fans will be pleased to know that adidas will now be the official football kit sponsor of Liverpool bringing back the legendary 3 stripes to its spiritual home.
You can’t deny the whole nostalgia attached to football. For me personally growing up as a 90s kid it was all about the classic 90s Umbro kits as a Man Utd fan. The “Fergies Dream Team” era of Sharp Viewcam, turned up collars & the class of 92. Moving across the Mersey, Liverpool was all about Carlsberg sponsorships, Equipment Line stripes & Steve McManaman’s iconic curtains. Now in a new era of VAR & build up play from the back, it’s fair to say that modern football has changed a bit since the 90s. The thing is though we’re still fixated on the football nostalgia from yesteryear. Following their current relatively short-lived sponsorship deal with Nike after New Balance, Liverpool Football Club will be switching their allegiances to adidas, bringing back the legendary 3 stripes to its spiritual home of Merseyside. Sneaker Jobs can confirm that adidas & Liverpool have now agreed a multi-year partnership that will see the Herzogenaurach based sportswear brand become the football club’s official kit partner for the 2025/26 season and onwards.
From 1st August 2025, the German sportswear brand will supply Liverpool with their matchday kit, training gear & lifestyle wear for both the men’s, women’s & academy teams as well as LFC Foundation staff. Previously sponsoring Liverpool through some of its most iconic eras in the 80s, 90s & noughties which saw numerous domestic titles as well as European glory. The multi-million pound deal will also build on existing relationships between adidas and its current players, including Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Darwin Núñez, Alexis Mac Allister, Diogo Jota, Luis Díaz, Ryan Gravenberch, Fuka Nagano, Mia Enderby and Jenna Clark. The adidas Liverpool 2025/26 kit is expected to go on sale from adidas & select stockists on 1st August 2025.
