Basketball College Sensation Cooper Flagg Signs For New Balance

Cooper Flagg joins the ranks of New Balance as the Boston born sportswear brand looks to tap further into the speedy “All American” court sport.

Following the news that the Boston born sportswear brand, New Balance, aim to reach $10 billion in global sales over the next few years, a key takeaway from the plans was to tap further into other sports such as basketball which is exactly what they’ve done with their latest signing. Introducing the basketball college sensation, Cooper Flagg, to their basketball roster for August 2024. The Gatorade National Player of the Year & Naismith Player of the Year grew up in Newport, Maine which is 25 miles from the New Balance Skowhegan factory. His  connection to NB doesn’t just stop there though, during his childhood his mum would also take Cooper and his brothers to the New Balance annual sale in Skowhegan to stock up on New Balance trainers and bags for the coming school year.

Inspiring the next generation of athletes, the 6 foot 9 power forward is known for his dominant style of play and starts his collegiate career at Duke University this coming Autumn, or fall if you’re on the other side of the pond, as the top player in the 2024 class. Cooper was also among the 15 athletes named for the 2024 USA Basketball Select Team that were chosen to train with the USA Basketball Men’s National Team as they trained for gold in the Paris Olympics, the only teenager and first collegiate player with the honor since 2013. Cooper will work New Balance across various basketball marketing campaigns as well as lifestyle extensions and community initiatives.
