The Seattle based performance running brand Brooks has posted double digit growth for Q1 2025 with its 8th consecutive year of growth in North America.
If you’re an avid reader of Sneaker Jobs, you’ve probably heard us banging on about this whole running revival on more than once occasion. Whether it’s community runs & coffee shop stops in Ancoats or in some cool neighbourhood of Amsterdam, performance running is back, and bigger than ever before. Bringing back all the running nostalgia from the 1970s & 1980s, the latest running boom to hit the streets has seen legendary 70s running brands like Brooks find a new performance focused consumer of the very latest running trainer innovation. Founded all the way back in 1914 in Philadelphia, the now Seattle based brand became one of the “go to” running trainers throughout the 1970s running boom courtesy of classic silhouettes like the Vantage & the Vanguard. Following a brand revival in the 2010’s and now the whole running revival, timing has played fully to the brand’s (ad)vantage with Brooks becoming one of the top performance running trainer brands on the fiercely competitive footwear market. The brand’s latest financials for Q1 2025 also reflect this, achieving its best quarter to date across all regions with double digit growth.
The Seattle based performance running brand does not disclose specific revenue numbers, but did confirm a 15% growth for the latest quarter when compared to the same period last year, setting their own PB in the making. Regionally, Brooks continued its 8th consecutive year of growth in North America for Q1 with a revenue increase of 13%, maintaining its position as the no.1 adult running brand. Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) was also up by 11%. In France revenue was up by 37% and 28% in Germany, with performance running styles priced at €90 or more “setting the pace”. The latest quarter also saw Brooks release 6 performance styles, which contributed to a 27% growth in full RRP sales. I am so proud of the Brooks team and the strategy we’re executing to invite more people into the brand and to experience the many benefits running and movement deliver. Our record results are an outcome of real product innovation, brand demand at an all-time high, and execution excellence across our teams.
