The Nike Shox TL ‘Sunrise Orange’ trainer puts a vibrant spin on the full length noughties Shox silhouette which was originally designed by Bruce Kilgore.

When Skepta put his own his creative style on the Nike Shox with the swoosh label for his collaboration back in 2019 he famously said “When I used to go to Manchester and up north, I used to see all the kids rocking Shox, it was a real street shoe”. He was right. Here in Manchester the Nike Shox was absolutely massive. Walking down Market Street back in 2003 was like something out of sci-fi movie with Lacoste tracksuit clad teenagers rocking these bouncy Shox shoes on feet & 3 panel swoosh caps. Following Skepta’s collaboration, the Nike Shox has made a bit of a comeback. A slightly misunderstood shoe, the Shox was all about basketball and bounce on the other side of the Atlantic, whereas closer to home in the UK it held a cult like status in the “bouncy” house clubs of the North West & beyond in the early to mid noughties. The Nike Shox TL was the absolute daddy of the original early noughties bounce silhouette with its full length Shox sole unit and more bounce than ever before. Back with a bouncy bang for 2025, the Nike Shox TL trainer now arrives in a vibrant sunrise orange colourway.

Although the Shox was originally designed by Bruce Kilgore, way back in 1984, the Shox was first “officially” released in 2000. Drawing inspiration from the “bounce” of track sprinters as they teared through the elite indoor tracks. After vigorous testing with various materials, a spring like sole “shox” system was designed by Nike’s innovation team adding the ultimate bounce to every step. Dropping as part of the sportswear revival of the early to mid noughties, the Shox became a huge part of street culture in the UK.

The Nike Shox TL trainer now returns in a vibrant ‘sunrise orange’ colourway for 2025. Featuring mesh uppers & synthetic uppers in sunrise orange which is strengthened with TPU support in black. Black & orange swooshes feature to the sides with classic Shox branding to the heel & tongue tab. Underfoot there’s a full length Shox sole which features the ground-breaking spring system. The Nike Shox TL Sunrise Orange is available now from select stockists such as size?.
