First released back in 2020 the Helly Hansen Archive HH-118389225 range is a premium line that draws inspiration from the brand’s offshore heritage of the 1990s.

Giving a nod to their sea fairing history of the past 140 years & kitting out oil workers in the North Sea with survival suits for cold water conditions that were also flame retardant and made from water tight fabrics. Combined with the Norwegian brand’s subculture connection of the North of England (something we will touch on below) the Archive HH-118389225 created a lot of noise for the brand’s original wearers as well as the new generation of performance fabric fans. We can now unveil what’s to expect from the “professional grade gear” line for the forthcoming season with the Helly Hansen Archive HH-118389225 Autumn/Winter 2025 collection.

If you were knocking about in the underground house clubs of the North West & the surrounding areas in the late 90s & early noughties then the chances are you either owned a Helly Hansen jacket, or new someone that did. Wearing a performance outdoors jacket in a nightclub was probably the last place you actually needed to, but for some reason it stuck on the sticky dance floors of the likes of Bowlers & Maximes. GORE-TEX gear, piano melodies & MC’s from Blackpool giving shout outs to crews from Blackley, Blackburn, Bradford & Burnley with brands like Helly Hansen firmly tied around waists as the bass drum kicked in & the Mitsubishi’s started to do their magic. Whilst the average jacket wearer thought Helly Hansen was strictly worn by sailors & North Sea oil workers, it had actually gained a cult like status among a new era of Millennial ravers with a penchant for performance fabrics, sportswear & “casual” designer brands.

Featuring a collection of archive inspired & new silhouettes with a focus on function, the Helly Hansen Archive HH-118389225 range remains true to its roots for Autumn/Winter 2025. Styles like the Modular Padded Coat give a nod to one of Helly Hansen’s iconic Mountain jackets from the 1990s which is updated with a check print. The Modular Liner can be seamlessly switched from a jacket to vest whilst the Pile Fleece jacket draws on performance for both outdoors & urban-wear. Other highlights of the collection includes the Reversible Puffer which features 600 fill power down and a removable face mask in an updated brown colourway. The Waterproof Down Parka also returns & features HELLY TECH® Protection technology for the ultimate protection against the elements.
