PRODUCT FOCUSBRAND:NikeSTYLE:Air Max 180 'Joker'VIEWS: 348 AVAILABLE FROM:size.co.uk The Nike Air Max 180 ‘Joker’ trainer features a sinister super villain inspired colourway of the iconic batman character with pops of Persian Violet & Action Green. Previously played by Cesar Julio Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger & more recently Joaquin Phoenix, the Joker is a sinister super villain and arch rival of Batman. Famous for his purple suit & green hair, with legendary film quotes like “Why so serious”? (The Dark Knight 2008) & “I hope my death makes more cents than my life” (Joker 2019), the crazy clown is now brought to life in classic crep form courtesy of Nike. Following on from their recent Batman inspired Nike Air Max 1 trainer which released back in September 2024, the swoosh brand is now back for November with the introduction of the Nike Air Max 180 ‘Joker’ trainer. Following in the footsteps of the Air Max 1 from 1987, the Air Max Light from 1989 & the Air Max 90 from 1990, the Air Max 180 marked the 4th instalment of “visible air”. Designed by the original Air Max 1 designer, Tinker Hatfield, as well as the original Air Force 1 designer, Bruce Kilgore, the Air Max 180 was released at a pinnacle of sole technology & trainer innovation in 1991. The main visible difference compared to previous Air Max releases was the fact the Air bag unit actually made contact with the ground. The Air bubble was also twice as big as previous AM silhouettes with 180 degrees of “visible air”. The 180 was also famously worn by Michael Jordan at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992. Notable colourways of the Nike Air Max 180 included ‘concorde’ & ‘ultramarine’.
