The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Dark Russet’ trainer lands for October 2024 & takes colourway inspiration from the Air Max Tuned ‘celery’ trainer from 1999.
Following on from the recent ‘Batman’ iteration of the early 90s visible air trainer, the Swoosh brand returns with some late 90s colourway inspiration. Taking colourway inspiration from the Air Tuned Max from 1999 with its iconic iridescent ‘celery’ colourway, the copper & gold metallic hues now land on the Nike Air Max 90 with the launch of the ‘Dark Russet’ trainer for October 2024. The celebrated celery colourway was also the main inspiration behind the SK Air Max 97 trainer from 2017 with Skepta giving a nod to the OG Air Max trainers he wore as a teenager in London’s Air Max heydays of the late 90s & early noughties.
Featuring black mesh uppers with leather overlays in metallic copper & gold for unique iridescent hues. A black midsole with a gum sole adds a retro touch with black swooshes to the sidewalls and pops of iridescent gold to the eyelets. Other highlights of the celery inspired colourway includes a black Air Max logo to the heel & metallic gold Nike branding to the tongue tab. The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Dark Russet’ trainer launches from Nike on 15th October 2024.
