The Nike Air Max Waffle ‘Action Green’ trainer features the legendary uppers of the Nike Waffle from the 1970s combined with the ‘Tuned Air’ midsole of the Nike Air Max Plus.
Hybrid swoosh sneakers are pretty good aren’t they? You’ll probably remember that corduroy clad hybrid Air Max trainer from Sean Wotherspoon from 2018 or the Nike Air Max 1/90 from 2021 which both merged together two different ‘visible air’ silhouettes. November 2024 sees a completely new concept from the swoosh label, merging the uppers of the legendary Nike Waffle from the 1970s with the midsole of the Sean McDowell designed Air Max Plus, or Tuned Air as it also known. The Nike Air Max Waffle trainer now lands in ‘Action Green’ for November 2024 and doesn’t it look amazing!
Featuring lightweight textile uppers in a striking ‘Action Green’ colourway with suede overlays from Nike’s iconic Waffle trainer which led the running trainer innovation of the 1970s. The classic runner uppers sit on top of the Air Max Plus midsole, the legendary late 90s Tuned Air silhouette. Pops of ‘vibrant altitude’ orange feature across the cream midsole as well as the heel tab with a Waffle inspired outsole that gives a nod to the famous traction outsole. Other highlights include black leather side swooshes and Tn branding to the heel.
