The On Milan store opens for August 2024 & marks the Swiss sneaker brand’s 10th flagship store across North America, Europe & Asia.

If you’re from Manchester, or the North West, you’ll probably remember the surge in Scousers sporting On Cloud sneakers a few years back adding to their unique roster of Liverpudlian labels like Montirex, Berghaus & 110’s. Nowadays however it’s not just Scousers that you automatically associate with the Swiss sneaker brand but a global following of elite runners & trail trekkers. There’s definitely something in the water across the Mersey. From a “trend analysis” perspective it was arguably the Scousers that started the whole On Running trend here in the UK, just like we’ve seen the massive boom of homegrown brands like Montirex in recent years, which unlike On actually started in Liverpool. Founded back in 2010 by former Swiss Ironman champion Olivier Bernhard with David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti, On is a relatively new player on the sneaker game but has quickly become a key competitor to the likes of Nike & New Balance in recent years . Boasting 6000 stockists across 55 countries with flagship stores in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Portland, Paris, Zurich, London, Berlin & Tokyo. The good news for the Italian On fans out there is that the Swiss sneaker brand has now opened its very first Milan flagship store for August 2024.

Located on the the iconic Corso Vittorio Emanuele ll the On Milan flagship store is inspired by innovative design and the city’s natural surroundings. Featuring expansive windows, sculptural elements, and a natural clay floor installation across two floors there’s various sections across running, tennis, training & lifestyle gear. Renowned for their unique “clouds” sole cushioning which was originally presented to Nike but rejected, On (ONON) was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021 with the company’s IPO raising around $746 million.
