The Patta x Converse Chuck 70 trainer celebrates the long lasting relationship between the Amsterdam streetwear stalwart & the classic ‘Chuck Taylor’ footwear brand.
20 years is a very long time in the sneaker game. Not only remaining relevant but also having the ability to re-release a collaboration from 15 years ago and still have the entire sneaker world talking about it. The thing is brand’s like Patta don’t come along that too often. A pioneer of Amsterdam’s homegrown streetwear scene, Patta has been making waves ever since their inception back in 2004. Patta’s formula of supporting grass roots urban artists to working with the likes of Nike on some of the most sought after Air Max of all time will probably continue to work for the next 20 years also. In celebration of their 20th anniversary Patta have now teamed up with Converse to celebrate their long-standing relationship with the launch of a new Chuck 70 to round things off for 2024.
Founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt back in 2004, Patta has pioneered the Dutch streetwear scene since the early noughties. With a strong connection to Holland’s homegrown hip-hop scene and a passion for records and rare sneakers, Patta is something like Amsterdam’s equivalent of Supreme to New York or Palace to London. With seasonal collections and previous collaborations with the likes of C.P. Company, Converse, Carhartt & Vans, Patta have built a cult following across the UK & Europe.
Giving a nod to the original Converse collaboration from 2014, the collaboration Chuck 70 features an embroidered all over Patta logo across the 12 oz canvas uppers. Dropping in natural ivory/insignia blue & black/jolly green, the celebratory Chuck 70 features the iconic ‘All Star’ logo to the medial sides with “20 Down” molded into the insole. Other highlights include sock liners & extra laces. The Patta x Converse Chuck 70 20th Anniversary trainer launches on Friday 6th December 2024 from Patta.
