Following the news the Swedish sneaker retailer had gone bankrupt we can now confirm Sneakernstuff has been acquired by Reziprok Ventures & co- founder Erik Manzano Fagerlind will return as CEO.
Back in January we reported that the Swedish sneaker retailer, Sneakersnstuff, had field for bankruptcy. We can now confirm the news that Sneakersnstuff has been acquired by the venture capital boutique, Reziprok Ventures, giving a lifeline to the struggling retailer. As part of the aquisition, original co-founder Erik Manzano Fagerlind will return as CEO after leaving the company as creative director back in 2022. In a recent statement released by Sneakersnstuff the sneaker retailer said the “new partnership with Reziprok Ventures will mark a fresh commitment to energize the local community through existing SNS stores located in London, Paris, Berlin and Stockholm.”
It is also understood that the Swedish sneaker store will be re-opening their New York store with “a more curated digital offering” as part of the acquisition. The statement went on to say the “mission was to reconnect with the local community by celebrating the various cultures that are affiliated with sneakers by offering unique physical and digital experiences that celebrate local culture, art and the vibrant lifestyles surrounding sneakers.”
SNS will continue to be a hub not only for sneaker lovers, but for all sub-cultures sneakers are a part of, promoting inclusivity, creativity and innovative ideas. We’re thrilled to bring back community-driven events and further enhance our connection with the community in every city we touch.
Erik Manzano Fagerlind – Co-Founder Sneakersnstuff
