Stone Island’s heat sensitive fabric returns for November 2024 with the launch of the ‘Earth Mapping’ Camouflage Nylon Rep Ice Jacket.
Thermosensitive threads have been an ongoing theme at Stone Island since the late 1980s. 1989 to be exact, when the celebrated compass logo brand released its very first Ice Jacket. Classic Stoney pieces like the original ‘Ice Camo’ jacket not only championed their innovative thermosensitive fabric technology but also their ongoing connection to camouflage. The heat sensitive fabric now returns for November 2024 with the latest Stone Island ‘Earth’ Mapping’ Nylon Rep Ice Jacket which also features their latest camouflage concept.
Originally designed by Massimo Osti in 1987, the Ice Jacket featured innovative fabric technology which changed in colour in different temperatures. Over the last 35 years the heat sensitive fabric has featured across knitwear, outerwear & even water bottles. The state of the art fabric technology now arrives on the compass logo’s very latest Ice Jacket. Featuring an all-over camouflage print inspired by satellite images of the earth, the Camouflage Nylon Rep Ice Jacket is the stand out piece of the latest Autumn/Winter 2024 season.
Featuring thermosensitive properties which allows the garment to change colour depending on the conditions. Other highlights of the thermo-sensitive down jacket includes a lightweight, tightly woven nylon rep which is 100% recycled with a resin coating on the reverse. Treated with a special PFC-free anti-drop agent with ‘Responsible Down Standar’d certified padding. There’s also a detachable down padded hood which includes an inner face mask as well as a white Stone Island fabric research badge to the left sleeve.
